POLICE COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING
June 22, 2026
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Police Commission was called to order by Chair Eric Lemke, at 4:13 pm
in the Main Meeting Room of the Simsbury Town Offices. In attendance were Chair Eric
Lemke, Commissioner Jenna Caulfield, Commissioner Tenesha Grant, Commissioner Chris
Kelly, Chief Nicholas Boulter, and Deputy Chief Chris Davis.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
3. NEW OFFICER RECOMMENDATION
a. Chief Boulter introduced Kaycee Newberry to the Police Commission for the role of
Police Officer and gave an overview on their education and work experience. Kaycee
gave a brief introduction on herself and expressed her reasons and aspirations to work
for the town.
The Police Commission moved to enter executive session at 4:17 pm to discuss the
application of Kaycee Newberry. In attendance at executive session were Chair Tenesha
Grant, Commissioner Jenna Caulfield, Commissioner Eric Lemke, Commissioner Chris
Kelly, Chief Nicholas Boulter, Deputy Chief Chris Davis and Kaycee Newberry.
Public Session reconvened at 4:34 pm and after a motion was made by Commissioner
Caulfield and seconded by Commissioner Grant, it was unanimous:
VOTED: To approve the hiring of Kaycee Newberry for the position of Police
Officer effective June 29, 2026, pending successful completion of the
background process.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Caulfield made a motion to adjourn at 4:36 P.M., seconded by Commissioner
Lemke. All were in favor and the motion passed.
