CALL TO ORDER – Vice Chair Jason Levy called the meeting to order at 6:009 P.M.10 11 Present: Vice Chair, Jason Levy; Secretary, Joseph Campolieta; Commission12 Members: Charles Haldeman, Jason Berman, Donald Eaton; Alternative Commission13 Member: Sue Brittell; Planning and Community Development Director George14 McGregor and Assistant Town Planner, Brittany MacGilpin.15 16 Absent: Chair, Margery Winters; Commission Member, Michael Luzietti; and17 Alternate Commission Member: Alison Wilcox.18 19 II. PUBLIC HEARING AND/OR ACTION ON IWWA APPLICATIONS29 30 Application CC #26-02 of SL Simsbury, LLC applicant and owner, for a wetland31 permit to construct +/-689 residential units with associated improvements that includes32 disturbance in the upland review area at 200 Hopmeadow Street (Hartford South)33 (Assessor’s Map F17, Block 154, Lot 009-2) Simsbury, CT 06089, Zone HS-FBC.34 35 36 37 38 Page 2 of 3 Intervenor39 40 Vice Chair Levy asked the IWWA whether commissioners received the submitted41 Acting Town Attorney opinion regarding verification of the intervenor petition42 submitted by Christine Sinopoli, 16 Clay Creek Drive, Suffield, CT. They confirmed43 receipt.44 45 MOTION: Commissioner Haldeman made a motion, seconded by Secretary46 Campolieta that the Notice of Intervention does not have standing. The motion carried47 unanimously 6-0-0.48 49 Applicant Presentation50 51 Paul Vitaliano, Civil Engineer at VHB, provided a brief presentation to the commission52 about the changes made to the project based on the second-round review from the third-53 party consultants, CHA and EcoMaps, LLC.54 55 Third-Party Presentation56 57 Chuck Eaton of CHA and Michelle Ford from EcoMaps, LLC (a subconsultant for58 CHA) provided their second-round review of the project.59 60 Commissioners asked follow-up questions of the applicant and the third-party61 consultants. Mr. Vitaliano and Megan Raymond, the Soil Scientist for the project from62 VHB, responded to the questions on behalf of the applicant.
