POLICE COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 8, 2026
1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting of the Police Commission was called to order by Chair Eric Lemke, at 4:57pm.
in the Board of Education Conference Room of the Simsbury Town Offices. In attendance
were Chair Eric Lemke, Commissioner Jenna Caulfield, Commissioner Tenesha Grant,
Commissioner Chris Kelly, Commissioner James Traficante, Chief Nicholas Boulter, and
Deputy Chief Chris Davis.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
3. RECESS
a. After a motion was made by Commissioner Caulfield and seconded by Commissioner
Traficante it was unanimous:
VOTED: To take a recess to attend the Hometown Hero Ceremony at 4:58pm.
b. After a motion was made by Commissioner Lemke and seconded by Commissioner
Caulfield it was unanimous:
VOTED: To reconvene the meeting at 5:32pm.
4. CORRESPONDENCE
Commissioner Caulfield read the summary of letters received since the last meeting of the
commission on May 11, 2026.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. After a motion was made by Commissioner Caulfield and seconded by Commissioner
Grant it was unanimous:
VOTED: To approve the minutes of the May 11, 2026 Regular Meeting.
6. REPORTS
a. Chairperson’s Report
i. None
b. Chief’s Report
i. General
 Personnel: The department is still actively looking to fill sworn officer positions
and one dispatcher position. To help with the staffing shortage, Officer Jamie Ball
has been temporarily reassigned to Patrol from Community Services. While he
will maintain some of the duties of the CSO, his primary objective will be patrol
for now.
 Recent/ Upcoming Events: On Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 9:00am –
1130am the Simsbury Police Department is hosting a shred event on the
property of Town Hall. Simsbury residents can bring a maximum of 2 bags or
boxes (each the approximate size of a brown grocery bag) with proof of
residency and a non-perishable donation for the Simsbury Food Pantry. The
announcement was posted on the Police Department Facebook page and
sharing of the event is encouraged.
 Accreditation: The Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies
will be reviewing roughly 191 standards during the week of June 19-June 27 for
our annual review. The review will be done remotely and they will also be

interviewing several members of the Department. DC Chris Davis and
Accreditation Specialist Christina DelTatto have been coordinating that review.

5. REVIEW OF PROPOSED UPDATES TO GENERAL ORDERS
a. New GO 41-05 and 46-2 The updates and changes to the GO 41-05 and 46-2 were
presented and discussion followed.
After a motion was made by Commissioner Caulfield and seconded by Commissioner
Grant it was unanimous:
VOTED: To approve GO 41-05 and 46-2, effective June 8, 2026.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Lemke made a motion to adjourn at 6:02pm., seconded by Commissioner
Caulfield. All were in favor and the motion passed.
