Simsbury, CT February 14, 2017
The Simsbury Police Department worked with the State of Connecticut Department of Mental
Health and Addiction Services to conduct tobacco sale compliance checks on February 14, 2017.
The inspections were performed in an effort to determine compliance with state laws prohibiting
the sale of tobacco products to anyone under age 18. The following businesses were found to
be in compliance during the checks:
• Walgreens- 540 Bushy Hill Road
• Simsbury Quick Mart- 12 Albany Turnpike
• Liquor Depot of Simsbury Inc.- 17 Albany Turnpike
• Cumberland Farms #4761- 151 Hopmeadow Street
• Simsbury Mobil- 404 Hopmeadow Street
• Pride Stores LLC- 518 Hopmeadow Street; 1340 Hopmeadow Street
• Gulf- 125 West Street
• Valley Wine and Spirits- 828 Hopmeadow Street
• Sunrise Convenience Store- 1225 Hopmeadow Street
• The Wine House- 1356 Hopmeadow Street
• Simsbury Pharmacy- 1418 Hopmeadow Street
The following business was not in compliance during the inspection. The store clerk was issued
an infraction for the violation and the store licensee may face additional administrative sanctions.
