Press Release – Shooting Investigation
Simsbury, CT May 20, 2014
The Simsbury Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the
parking lot of Wolcott Woods Condominiums in Simsbury. The Police Department received a
911 call on May 19, 2014 around 11:29 PM. The caller reported that a man was shot in the
parking lot in front of 47, 49 and 53 Wolcott Woods. Officers arrived and immediately provided
medical attention to a 20 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body area.
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition.
The male victim was not a resident of the condominium complex. The Police Department is
actively investigating and there is reason to believe that the victim and the suspect(s) were
acquaintances.
