Notice to Simsbury Residents
From time to time, Simsbury residents experience thefts from inside their vehicles. At times, the
thefts are isolated occurrences and at other times they involve neighborhoods or sections of
town. Most thefts occur during the late nighttime hours to early morning hours.
The Simsbury Police Department is actively investigating recent thefts and working to apprehend
the offenders and prevent further criminal activities. As a reminder, we suggest that everyone
takes general precautions. For instance, do not leave valuables in your vehicles, lock your
vehicles, use exterior lighting (both constant and motion sensitive) and call the police when you
hear unusual noise or see unusual activity (people talking or barking dogs at night, people
walking around late at night, etc.).
