Hartford County Armed Robberies
Several towns in the Hartford area have experienced armed robberies within the last two weeks.
The suspects wore baseball caps and hooded sweatshirts and at least one person was armed with
a shotgun. It appears as if the suspects observed the locations just prior to committing the
robberies. The armed robberies occurred at convenience stores, gas stations and take-out
restaurants. There is no information that these armed robberies may occur in Simsbury, but we
want businesses to be aware of the activity. If you see something suspicious, but it is not an
emergency, call the Simsbury Police Department at (860) 658-3100. Call 911 if it is an
emergency.
