Simsbury Police Department “In Partnership with our Community” Contact: Lieutenant Nicholas Boulter Simsbury Police Department 933 Hopmeadow St. Simsbury, CT 06070 Phone (860) 658-3106 Fax (860) 658-3103 Press Release Simsbury, CT February 8, 2012 The Simsbury Police Department worked with the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to conduct tobacco sale compliance checks on February 3, 2012. Compliance checks were performed at the following businesses: Citgo Super Value at 518 Hopmeadow Street Corn Crib Liquors at 1610 Hopmeadow Street Gibbs Enterprises (Mobil) at 955 Hopmeadow Street Liquor Depot of Simsbury at 17 Albany Turnpike #21 Shell Quick Stop at 12 Albany Turnpike Simsbury Service Center (Mobil) at 404 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury Pharmacy at 1418 Hopmeadow Street Sunrise Convenience Store at 1225 Hopmeadow Street West Street Wines and Spirits Inc. at 131 West Street Infractions were issued at two of the compliance checks for violation of C.G.S. 53-344(b) Sale of Tobacco to person under 18 years of Age. The violations occurred at: Shell Quick Stop at 12 Albany Turnpike Simsbury Service Center (Mobil) at 404 Hopmeadow Street Compliance checks, investigations and education will continue to be part of our efforts to prevent underage tobacco sales and use.
