Simsbury, CT February 10, 2012
On February 10, 2012, the Simsbury Police Department responded to the area of
Washburn Drive for a reported attempted abduction. Two 12 year old females were out
walking when a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee (tan or gray) drove by them. This
vehicle drove up the road and turned around. The vehicle approached the females,
stopped and the operator yelled out the window for the females to get into the vehicle.
The two girls ran off and the vehicle drove away.
The vehicle was occupied by one person. This person is described as a Hispanic male,
facial hair, balding with a heavy accent. He was wearing a jacket or heavy sweatshirt.
The Simsbury Police Department is asking residents that may have seen a vehicle that
matches this description to call Detective Sergeant Tom Sheehan at 860-658-3140.
