Compliance checks were performed at the following businesses: Torpedoes Smoke Shop at 922 Hopmeadow Street RJ’s Spirit Shop at 1356 Hopmeadow Street Fitzgerald’s Foods at 710 Hopmeadow Street CVS Pharmacy at 714 Hopmeadow Street American Enterprises II (Gulf) at 125 West Street Gibbs Enterprises (Mobil) at 955 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury Service Center (Mobil) at 404 Hopmeadow Street Citgo Super Value at 518 Hopmeadow Street Shell Quick Stop at 12 Albany Turnpike Walgreens located at 540 Bushy Hill Road Sunrise Convenience Store at 1225 Hopmeadow Street Infractions were issued at two of the compliance checks for violation of C.G.S. 53-344(b) Sale of Tobacco to person under 18 years of Age. The violations occurred at: Gibbs Enterprises (Mobil) at 955 Hopmeadow Street Sunrise Convenience Store at 1225 Hopmeadow Street Compliance checks, investigations and education will continue to be part of our efforts to prevent underage tobacco sales and use.
