Notice to Simsbury Residents
Recently, some vehicles were entered into and items were stolen at residences on Sunset Hill
Road, David Drive, Whynwood Road and Nod Brook Drive. There was also some criminal
mischief to vehicles, mailboxes and houses on Whynwood Road, Wheeler Road, Evans Drive
and Nod Brook Lane. These entries and criminal mischief occurred during the late nighttime
hours from Sunday evening August 8 through the early morning hours of August 11, 2011.
The Simsbury Police Department is actively investigating the events and working to apprehend
the offenders and prevent further criminal activities. As a reminder, we suggest that everyone
takes general precautions. For instance, do not leave valuables in your vehicles, lock your
vehicles, use exterior lighting (both constant and motion sensitive) and call the police when you
hear unusual noise or see unusual activity (people talking or barking dogs at night, people
walking around late at night, etc.).
If you have any information in reference to these events, please contact Officer Todd Kushman
at 860-658-3100.
