World Down Syndrome Day March 21, 2025
At our Monday BOS meefing, we read a proclamafion recognizing World Down Syndrome Day. It
was started by the General Assembly of the United Nafions in 2011 in order to raise public
awareness of Down syndrome, along with advocafing for adequate access to health care, early
intervenfion programs, research, and to inclusive educafion. We hope that with the funding
cuts and potenfial dismantling of the US Department of Educafion, programs supporfing the
educafion of the most vulnerable in our populafion do not get taken away.
