Join us at this special event on Saturday, March 28th from 10 AM – 2 PM for the opportunity to check out a ‘Book’ from our Human Library. Talk openly with local human volunteers about their unique backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. Ask questions and challenge prejudice through dialogue and connection. Police At a special police commission meeting on February 26th Christopher Bragg was approved to be Simsbury’s newest police officer. Christopher served 4 years in the Air Force, is relocating here from Pennsylvania, and has family in the area. He will begin the New Britain Police Academy on March 27th. We held a brief swearing-in ceremony on March 2nd at 9 AM, the same day he reports for duty! Planning & Community Development The Town is updating our zoning regulations and we need your input! Join us for an interactive workshop to share ideas that will shape the future of your community. The workshop is on Monday, March 30th at 7 PM in the Simsbury Public Library. Chamber of Commerce On February 27th I attended the Business Leaders Breakfast at the Simsbury Inn! Great event! Cotton Candy Fabrics & Quilts held a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on March 5th and they are located at Simsbury Town Shops – 926 Hopmeadow Street.
