Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays!
Culture, Parks, and Recreation
The annual Simsbury Skate and Share holiday event will be
held at the Simsbury Farms Rink on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd from 1:00
to 3:30 PM. Free skating admission with the donation of non-
perishable food items to the Simsbury Food Pantry. Rental Skate
are available for $5 while supplies last.
Enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies, and also a visit from Santa
and his four-legged friend Clifton from the Simsbury Police
Department.
This event is made possible by the Simsbury Youth Services
Bureau, the Simsbury Community & Social Services Department,
the Simsbury Public Library, and the Simsbury Police
Department.
Holiday Public Skating Sessions at the Simsbury Farms Rink
Looking for some outdoor winter fun during the holiday break? The Simsbury Farms Rink is
hosting a number of public skating sessions over the school break. Please visit
www.SimsburyRec.com to check out the full holiday schedule. Admission is $5 for residents, $7
for non-residents. If needed, rental skates are $5 per pair while supplies last.

Management Specialist Franklyn Barrueco received his
Certified Connecticut Municipal Official (CCMO)
designation from the Connecticut Conference of
Municipalities (CCM) at their Annual Convention this
year.
Congratulations Franklyn!
We will be having our second Annual First Selectman Holiday
Door Decorating Contest this month.
The Honorable First Selectman Wendy Mackstutis will be
judging again this year. Stay tuned to see who wins!
You can see the 2024 results at Town Hall next to the mailroom.
Deputy Town Manager Tom Fitzgerald will be Acting Town
Manager until January 5th.
Public Works
Director of Public Works/Town Engineer/Tree Warden Tom Roy was just elected to serve as
next year’s chair of the Central Connecticut Solid Waste Authority! Congratulations Tom!
